The Ultuna Experiment UL 1214

The results from studies of the Weedkiller unit show that the efficiency of the spreading was quite extraordinary – between 83 and 95 per cent effective against couch grass. There was little difference between the stubble heights. The results are presented in the table. The wiping was carried out on 5 October, i.e. late in the year. Meteorological data from Ultuna shows that there were hard frosts on the nights before the wiping, but that the following nights were relatively mild. These climatic conditions strengthened the effect of Roundup as shown in the Hallgren & Nilsson Table. Wiping with the Weedkiller unit – stubble lengths of 10 and 30 cm, dosages 0.75 and 1.5 litres/ha. UL-1214. "NB. The test was carried out with a model without blade cutters."
